The Livestock Department warns farmers to be on the lookout for anthrax after the first patient was found in Mukdahan. Today (1 May 2025), Veterinarian Boonnyakrit Pinprasong, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Livestock Development, said that there has now been a report of a confirmed patient with anthrax in Don Tan District, Mukdahan Province. The patient was admitted for treatment at Don Tan Hospital and then transferred to Mukdahan Hospital with symptoms of a wound on his right hand and swollen lymph nodes in his right armpit.
